I grew up in the West Midlands, the youngest of seven children to loving parents, John and Sandra. In a household bustling with the constant energy of siblings, finding quiet moments to nurture my passion was both a challenge and a necessity. My passion was always to write, a calling that seemed to emerge from the very fabric of our chaotic yet warm family life.

The West Midlands of my childhood was a landscape of contrasts. Industrial heritage stood alongside green spaces, and the rhythms of working-class life provided a rich tapestry of stories that would later fuel my imagination. Our house, modest by any standard, somehow managed to contain the dreams and ambitions of nine people. With six older siblings, I learned early that if you wanted to be heard, you had to find your own voice. For me, that voice came through the written word.
